I have been researching how to add an extra credit grade item in a Moodle 1.9 course, and everything I saw left out minor bits and pieces. I was able to gather those bits and pieces, and assemble them into one screencast tutorial. Hopefully, this will be of help if you are trying to find a workable way to implement extra credit in your Moodle course.
